As soon as I sat in the cushioned leather saddle, I was nervous yet excited to be riding such a large animal as I had seen many times on television before. I will never forget every detail of those few moments in the saddle from the foreign smell of the horse to the sound of the horse's hoofbeats as the horse cautiously treaded as if it knew that I was scared.
