Salem State will also compete in men's lacrosse and men's and women's tennis. The presidents have also approved the continuation of practice for fall and winter MASCAC teams subject to health and safety, testing and tracing protocols in place to limit the spread of the COVID virus. Consistent with state restrictions on gathering limits, spectators will not be permitted at MASCAC contests at this time. This policy may be revisited for outdoor sports if conditions improve and subject to state and local health authorities' guidance. As the MASCAC teams continue to participate in athletic activities, it is the continued responsibility of all student-athletes and staff to stay diligent in their safety efforts on and off the field of play. Individual member institutions reserve the right to halt competition if the health of the campus community is put at risk.

Bridgewater State's league to return to fall competition next semester
Master's in English students Brooke Delp, of Beverly, and Miranda Hughes, of Peabody, are conducting workshops in screenwriting and flash fiction, while undergraduate English major Jennifer Puzzo, of Peabody, will host a book discussion and undergraduate English major Mae Fraser, of Hampton Beach, N. The festival is open to students who write creatively as a hobby, college major or planned career path under the direction of Granite State poet laureate and Salem State professor Alexandra Peary. Most of the discussions are free and open to the public, and can be found here. Going to college has shown me what a variety of voices there are in the literary world, and that all you need to get started are your life experiences. Peary said the mission is to give young people — especially in the more rural, northern part of the state — free access to writing tips and tutelage, and provide the students insight and experience on how to put together a festival.
